An ideal leotard for aerial arts, or cold dance studios! Raglan sleeves are historically seen on baseball shirts, and for good reason! The relocation of the shoulder seam gives the wearer more space, and that means more mobility through the shoulder. That's important when you're throwing things, but it's also really important for any activity that requires a broad range of motion. Traditional, sleeveless leotards allow for freedom of arm movement, but don't protect the wearer in instances where armpits or shoulders come into contact with equipment, and aren't ideal for cooler weather. As well as being functional, raglan sleeves are flattering for those of us ladies with strong, broad shoulders since they draw the eye inward, helping to visually balance muscular upper bodies. The leg holes for this leotard were drafted specifically to have a lower, more modest cut. Nobody wants a leotard that rides up in the middle of a workout, and extremely high, open leg holes almost always lead to that result. These leg openings sit where the leg and hip naturally crease, allowing them to stay put.
