Bon Voyage Baby Girl Quilt Pattern- features everything a girl needs for a trip to Paris. A mix of whimsical appliqud blocks with a just a touch of embroidery in an easy to assemble quilt. Perfect for a baby crib or snuggling up to read books together. The appliqu designs can be sewn on by machine with a blanket or tight zigzag stitch. The large sashing strips make for a pretty quick project. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic sewing skills SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS finishes size 49" x 39"

Supplies Needed

Other fabrics can, of course, be substituted. **Fabric quantities are for 44" wide 100% cotton fabric -- 1 1/2 yard fabric for quilt back (this quilt can be backed with a single cut of fabric with no seams -- 1/2 yard fabric for the borders --5/8 yard soft green fabric for binding, sashing, hot air balloon -- 1 yard fabric for appliqud block backgrounds --1/4 yard white/green/blue geometric/floral patterned fabric for sashing --1/3 yard small diamond blue fabric for sashing and suitcase --1 fat quarter large scale pink floral fabric for sashing --1 fat quarter solid or subtle patterned aqua fabric for Eiffel Tower, round suitcase and water in birdbath, bird and hot air balloon --1 fat quarter dark pink scroll fabric for motor bike, small horizontal strip, hot air balloon and umbrella --assorted small scraps of fabrics: light pink for coat, olive green for birdbath and corners on suitcase, aqua swirly print for clouds, light olive green print for scooter bumper and scooter flower basket --a 43" by 53" piece of batting (I used Warm and Natural) -- 2/3 yard "Wonder Under" (24"x17") (product #805 made by Pellon) an iron-on adhesive to fuse appliqu to fabric (inexpensive and available in fabric stores) Sold by the yard-22" wide -- 1 yard stabilizer -36"x22" (I used "Stitch-N-Tear Lite" #837-F by Pellon -It's an easy to tear away stabilizer/backing placed temporarily behind the appliqu work to prevent puckering (inexpensive and available in most fabric stores) sold by the yard-22"wide ----small amounts of embroidery floss (light olive green, aqua, pink, orange for bird beak and legs) --thread for piecing the quilt and a variety of thread colors for stitching the appliqus on --hand quilting thread (I used off white) Mettler and Gutermann are good brands Tools Tools Tools Tools: Helpful but not essential: quilter's cutting mat with ruler, rotary cutter, embroidery hoop
