This handbag is so much fun to make. It make look difficult, but it is very easy. If you know how to pleat fabric and gather fabric, you will have no problem making this bag. Do you hate to gather fabric? Well I have a very easy technique that is full proof to gather the center of the bag. I have made the bag with one fabric choice on the outside, however, you can use three different fabrics if you like or use two. I have included pictures for every step of the pattern. ****NOTE: On this pattern the bottom section has 8 pleats total, 4 pleats on both sides of center. There are pictures of 6 pleat bags. The Red Fabric Bag (Anna Maria Horner Fabric) has 8 pleats.. On this pattern, I added 2 additional pleats. If you want a 3 pleated bag, you can adjust your pleats according, as long as you pleat to the 13" width. I have always had a desire to create. My interest in sewing started very young sitting by my grandmother's sewing machine watching her sew. I was fascinated by how things were put together. I have been sewing and creating for over 30 years. My first sewing pattern was published in 2008 and I have not stopped since. The Aggie Wristlet/Clutch pattern was just featured in the Anna Griffin, Inc. Quiltmarket 2013 in Portland, OR. You can read more about it on my blog! It was an honor.
