Wedding quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? How I did it all myself, including the hand dying of lace for the small borders. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't try to finish in a short time. Take your time and enjoy each block. Keep at it- the finish WILL come.

What you will need

  • Cottons
  • batiks and a very extensive scrap collection. Fusible web for applique and variegated rainbow thread for the blanket stitch applique.

its so pretty. how long did it take to make it and did you do it in individual blocks ?

From May 2011 to February 2012. I made them as individual blocks- applique, embroidery, quilting- then joined them using the Sharon Pederson method.

This quilt is a piece of art. It could be entered into a contest and win first prize.
Desert-Diva answered:
No thanks- don't want the worked looked at too closely- far too many flaws for competition- but I am happy with it, as are my kids.
