Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I was able to put this wall hanging pattern together from a picture. So happy that I have finally used my free motion foot on something other than practice pieces. I have learnt how to sew swirls, leaves, and pebbles, well sort of!!! I have learnt how to make fabric labels for my quilts with The Crafty Gemini (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mH2R2dVQxc) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Always be careful with spelling... I was working from a picture with the American spelling... FIBER and I should have used FIBRE , I only noticed when I was about to sew on the binding :( but I looked up the spelling and they both have the same meaning. (Hope nobody notices on Monday evening!) I am disappointed with the yellow and pink ink-printed parts as they are very bumpy, I really need to do more quilting on them but I am afraid I may make a mess of it, so decided to leave it as it is... any suggestions? Get the Machine Quilting Negative Space class as Angela is a wonderful tutor and I have learned so much. I love swirls too:)

Desna!! Look how far you have come since you started Craftsy!!! This is really great, love the work...and since I'm from the US I didn't notice the spelling at all :-D Now if I can just figure out how to make sewing a more aerobic exercise, I could get in my dieting AND my exercise at once! Thanks for sharing this!
desna answered:
Why thank you Pam :) It has be a great learning and fun time at Craftsy. Yes if only all this cutting and sewing would make us fitter and trimmer it would be wonderful;)
