Q&A with Sylvie LC

Beth245 asked:
Wow, I think it looks magic - the centre circle looks great with it - can't believe that you have unpicked and re-sewn - I found using a true 1/4 inch made the circle just right.
Sylvie LC answered:
Well I used my 1/4" foot and it is pretty accurate normally, but since I had to rip and re cut the block may be it stretched or ???
Davesmom asked:
I like your desdan plate the best of all I have seen for this months block of the month. I figure the center circle needs some color or something. I just love poke dots and yours are great.!!!
Sylvie LC answered:
Thank you so much... this block was the longest to be done...
Beth245 asked:
Sylvie - I am finding this course so confusing - we always use a true quarter foot here in Australia - but it appears that American patterns especially on Craftsy use the scant 1/4 inch. I wouldn't have thought your fabrics would have stretched - I think Amy must be always using a scant 1/4 even though it looks on the video that she is using a true 1/4. I just know with my blocks I am going to have to square them slightly smaller. Never mind, you dresden looks fantastic.
Sylvie LC answered:
Yes I was not a good student or just did not get it...
