Tinker Tote

What are you most proud of? I didn't start out to make such a "pink" bag. I selected a group of fabrics that blended together and then just selected the colors as I quilted. The bottom of the bag is a soft upholstery suede fabric found on the clearance rack. It just seemed to be the perfect color. I also put both a basic and a zippered pocket inside. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the instructions given in the class. The tote is very big so I wanted to make it a little smaller. I did this by taking one inch off of the folded edges before cutting. This will shorten the straps and make the area smaller for the arm hole. It would be helpful to add that inch back on to the top of the straps (which I didn't think about doing until after finishing the bag). However it still works too carry over the shoulder and I am very happy with the finished project.
