Those wool ties really make a fun Dresden Plate! I love seeing the texture in those beautiful wools. Are you giving some of these cushions to family members, too? They would make nice remembrances of your father-in-law.

Ive made 8, one for my husband the other one like this, this one is for our niece (grand daughter to father in law) my two daughters, (grand daughters) the two sailors delight. The two star ones our nephew and niece (both grand children. pinwheel polka dot our great niece (great grand daughter) and dream weaver one for my grand daughter (great grand daughter). Thankfully we dont have a big family just 5 grand children and two great grand daughters. I have saved some in case there is another addition
and now I have to get one for my great nephew too. new addition to the family

I would really love to learn how to quilt, I have never done this before and some things look confusing. I would need beginner classes and something small and not too difficult.
I would suggest try the block of the month 2012, Im sure there would be something that would inspire you, lots to learn. good luck
