Tessalating Pinwheels

What was your inspiration? This isn't paper piecing, but I did become fascinated with tessalating designs when doing the zigzag quilt. I got this idea from the February issue of American Quilter magazine. This was a practice to see if I want to make a larger quilt.

When/if I make a larger quilt, I plan to use black, white, and red. The January issue of AMERICAN QUILTER featured a quilt like this in a heart shape. The summer Keepsake Quilting catalog shows one with overlapping diamond shapes. Both are beautiful modern quilts.

The idea comes from the January issue of AMERICAN QUILTER. They show a tessalating heart quilt. The summer issue of Keepsake Quilting shows one with overlapping diamond shapes. Both are beautiful modern quilts.
