Summer in the Park

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Summer in the Park Link to website or photo www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5WgTyqB8Pc What are you most proud of? I'm really just a beginner quilter, have only done small, simple projects (mostly for babies)...this was the first one that I machine quilted in a stipple pattern. I've only used the 'stitch in the ditch' method previously. With a little help, and a lot of patience with my questions, my friend and co-worker Linda (linda-brow119792 on craftsy.com) helped me through. I love how the colours worked out, and very proud of my machine quilting attempt! This was made for a baby gift...both Mom and Dad loved it!

great what is the colour range
Karen Fyfe answered:
Turquoise and chocolate brown, with a little bit of mustard yellow amongst the prints -- looks very crisp against the white background!
Sundae asked:
Absolutely beautiful!
Karen Fyfe answered:
Thank you...I was very pleased with the results!
Robin Batchelor asked:
Did you use jelly rolls? I love the fabric and would love that one in pinks. But love that turqoise. stunning.
Karen Fyfe answered:
One of the perks of managing a fabric store is that you can select fabrics here and there...and make your own jelly roll! I do have one ready to go in pinks, but the prints aren't the same.
Mesmerize asked:
Thank you so much for providing the link to the tutorial! I saw a similar quilt a few days ago and I have been trying to figure out how to strip piece it, but couldn't quite figure it out. I love this pattern and your quilt is to die for.
Karen Fyfe answered:
You're welcome! I love to work with pre-cuts (I'm lazy about cutting). I came across this while searching for something to do with jelly rolls. I love the results and the simplicity of it!
