What are you most proud of? When I watch my little granddaughter have fun with something I have made for her.Also I am very pleased with my quilted petal shapes:) Update..... I just love to see my two little granddaughters playing with the quilt 2 years on:) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose lots of colours, have fun with it and hand quilting is best as thick batting is needed because it is used as a playmat.

What you will need

  • 112 5 charm squares (3 Moda charm packs) 2/3 yard for square centers4 fat quarters for square borders 1/3 yard for inner border 1 1/3 yard for outer border yard for binding 1 2/3 yard 60 wide fabric for back 60 square batting Clover Quick Yo-Yo Maker in extra large size.Rotary cutter

Gorgeous!!! My mum quilts too and she has made Jacob and Caleb each a quilt and they are very special. LK will have this for many years to come.

Thanks for the lovely comment. I only took quilting up when LK was born as I really wanted to make her something to keep and be useful too x
