What are you most proud of? I think when you have to make do with what is on hand it means you must be creative to make things work. There are many ways to stretch your materials to have enough to finish what you started. These projects are the ones that I love the most, the are unique, no one else has one like it whether it be the same color or design. It's a thinking project. When the quilts were finished my friend sold hers. Visitors to our summer cottage liked mine so much that I sent it home with them. . . but the memories linger. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find a friend who likes brainstorming, is comfortable with the quality of her work and enjoys sharing. I have one quilting friend who is afraid to give this a try and I've been trying to convince her for several years. It can be done long distance or in the same room. It's so much fun putting your heads together and working out a plan. Give it a try.
