Project

Seuss Inspired Wonky Baby Quilt

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Wonky Baby - A Baby Quilt Link to website or photo www.modabakeshop.com/2012/02/wonky-baby-baby-quilt.html What are you most proud of? All of it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a relatively simple pattern design and went together rather easily. The quilting can be embellished more, but I kept it rather simple and according to the pattern. The blank blocks called for in the pattern, I decided to "quilt" the same design as what is appliqued for something rather than a plain block. As for the binding, I wanted to keep the "wonky" design going, by incorporating all of the various patterns in the binding. I think it really makes it pop! So, be creative and explore colors and patterns!

What you will need

  • cotton fabrics - Dr. Seuss inspired; Warm and Natural batting
  • Wonder-Under

Saw this pattern on Moda Bake but in the dark colors, it didn't inspire me. But YOURS ROCKS and makes me want to make one.

I agree... I didn't like the darker colors, but did like the "wonkiness." Thank you for your complement!
