What are you most proud of? My patience to finish over a pound of this fiber. What advice would you give someone starting this project? A drum carder would be very helpful.

Q&A with Kathy Riggs

Kathy Riggs answered:
Thank you
midnightm738687 asked:
Great colours
Kathy Riggs answered:
Thank you. I live near Paradise
Kamloops Kim asked:
this is so beautiful. Do you sell it?
Kathy Riggs answered:
I might be persuaded to sell small quantities for couching later, though I haen't decided what to do with it yet.
donnaweav16210771 asked:
what do you ply your sari silk waste with after spinning it Thank You, Donna
Kathy Riggs answered:
Sorry this has taken so long to answer. Craftsy made me search all over to do so. I spun the sari waste as a single, fairly tight to make sure the carded and cut fibers would be very stable. Then I plied it with itself with a 3 ply Andean or Navajo technique. It can be done with a spinning wheel or spindle.
