Sampler Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Thanks to Cindy Needham I was able to go beyond just stippling a quilt and go beyond the box-all the doodling in the block pieces Thanks to Leah Day...I have been a fan of hers for a long time-feathers all over the background. Thank you Laura Nownes for your free sampler class I was able to also add a sampling of my quilting on this quilt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try Zen tangle for great ideas and quilt away.

Q&A with rmg14961845

Cindy Needham asked:
Oh my....this is just beautiful...I am petting my computer screen just to touch your quilt. One of my students called this type of quilting " ESI"...quilting "every stinkin inch". VERY well done. You have created a beautiful heirloom quilt. :)

Thank you so much...I had so much fun quilting this sampler. I quilted using the print of the fabric pieces in some of the blocks... so pretty much "ESI". The basket block was not quilted as much because I wanted the applique to have more of a 3-D look. Thank you for you great class and inspiration.
