Sam's Easter Star

I decided to make a star quilt as a gift for my sister. I had originally intended this to be for Christmas 2017, but didn't start working on it until it was too late. Once I realized I wasn't going to finish it in time, I set it aside. Well, recently my sister got really sick, and it scared me. I decided to go ahead and finish it, and give it to her for Easter 2018 instead -- thus the name Sam's Easter Star. :-) I created the design myself after looking for pictures of stars. The piecing was very simple, but I wanted to do a spiral quilting design, and thought this quilt was a good one to practice that. The lines are about 3/8" apart, which is determined by my walking foot. After I finished the quilting, the quilt was a little "wonky", so for the first time ever, I blocked the quilt, and that improved it considerably. I am really proud of how it came out!
