Roos About

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I don't love applique so I was proud that it turned out so nice. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's certainly not a difficult pattern and placement of the roos is your own choice so have fun

What you will need

  • Batik jelly roll and black cotton for the kangaroos.

Q&A with NannySharon

befney asked:
I love this, I was doing this myself but decided to make elephants and giraffes instead.
NannySharon answered:
That would look great too.
Ann C asked:
I recognize your fabrics from my "cappuccino" quilt....love your use of them here.
NannySharon answered:
Thank you Ann. It's always nice to see different designs for the same fabrics.
G-Ma asked:
What I great idea! I've made a few jelly roll quilts- it never occurred to me to add applique to them. Like you I'm not a big fan of appilque, so I might try adding machine embroidery to the top before putting the batting & back together.
NannySharon answered:
That would look good too. I never thought of that. I'm not a jelly roll lover because the cutting isn't always accurate but my roos was done as a jelly roll race so it didn't matter so much
