Plum Parfait

What are you most proud of? I own a long arm quilting business, the studio is located in my home and this quilt inspired me to get the hanger put up on my front porch that I've been talking about doing for a year. Now as my customer's come in the door this is the first quilt they see and everyone loves it. It also serves to hide the cat climbing posts on the other side of the porch. Ha! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Dig through all your scraps and use as many different ones as possible to give it a more varied look.

Q&A with mmauch

Bonnie Wilson asked:
All of my quilt magazines have dog-eared corners and post it notes marking projects I'd like to do! I love the bold border on this - it makes the pinks and purples in the blocks pop!
mmauch answered:
Thank you I would love to take credit for choosing the purple but that's how it was in the magazine and it's a big part of what attracted me to the pattern.
redriding948467 asked:
What is the name of the pattern? Is it sold on Craftsy? Your quilt is beautiful!
mmauch answered:
Thank you, it's still a favorite quilt of mine and gets LOTS of complements from my customers. It was a pattern in a Quilter's World magazine from a few years ago. I can dig it out, scan and email you a copy if you're interested. Melody
redriding948467 asked:
That would be awesome because you quilt is a real inspiration to use up some of my nice scraps & leftover fabric. How do I get my contact info to you without having to post my personal email address?
mmauch answered:
send me an email to mmauch@grandecom.net and I'll get the pattern to you soon. It does use up a lot of scraps and it was fun to make.
