What advice would you give someone starting this project? When sketching, I kept accidentally sketching in a spiral path in an effort to fill in gaps, but I'd find myself trapped. I discovered that if I systematically removed my pins by rows from my quilt sandwich and tried to quilt across and back, this wouldn't happen.

Thanks! I think I'll back my next one with white so I can see the blending on one side and the contrast thread on the other. It'll be good motivation :)

It took me the longest just to pin the sandwiches! I'm thinking of getting some fusible batting instead of using my cotton batting scraps.
