Nostalgia Strip Quilt

What are you most proud of? I just love the way the whole quilt turned out. I did the quilting horizontally with straight lines and squiggly lines and it really emphasizes the vertical placement of the strips. I guess the binding might be my favorite. The Nostalgia strips are only 1-1/2" wide so I sewed a 3" wide strip of the KONA cotton I used on the back to it to make the binding. You can see both materials on the binding on the back. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I left the selvages on and lined up the thick ones on the same side. It made the edges easier to handle while sewing without fraying. I cut both selvage ends off even after the top was pieced. Also, if you plan to quilt horizontally with the strips vertially you will need to alternate the side you start sewing from to keep your strips even.
