Project

Mitered Log Cabin

What are you most proud of? The movement from dark to light and back and the balance created by the border. To maintain the symmetry of the pattern and to enlarge the quilt to a comfortable sofa size, the side border strips are an inch wider than the top and bottom strips. What advice would you give someone starting this project? A light box is great for lining up fabric for stitching. I had Foundation Stuff on hand. It is similar to Tear Easy and is recommended by some paper piecers. It was very tricky to to tear away after stitching. without pulling out stitches. Paper works much better.
