May the Cozies Be With You

2 new reversible/microwaveable bowl cozies made with a complementary pair of Star Wars fat quarters, plus 100% cotton batting & cotton thread (so they don't burn/melt/catch fire in the microwave) and a bit of quilting with the walking foot.

Where is pattern anddirections?
yarnovermatter answered:
I learned in a class last summer at my friend's little craft shop, but there are many instructions & videos online. In fact, the Craftsy Blog recently posted this tutorial which is almost exactly what I do -- except that I prefer the crisp pointy corners (also useful to grab onto when removing hot contents from the microwave) so I omit Step #6, which trims off the points. https://www.craftsy.com/quilting/article/quilted-bowl/ These are fast & easy -- I made 14 for Christmas gifts this year, plus a few others, including one that's quite large and I'm told works great for a dinner plate! If you choose a 10" size, you can get 2 bowls out of a pair of fat quar-ters, as I did here; 10" pre-cuts ("layer cake" squares) are even more convenient. I use mine practically every day, & it looks crisp as new with a quick press of the corners after machine washing. Enjoy! :)
