Marty Moose

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Looks cute as it should. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun. The pattern calls for basting the applique to the front of the quilt, placing it face down on batting and backing and sewing around the outside, turning and then applique the moose with a satin stitch though all thicknesses. This time I pinned the front face up to the batting, pinned applique in place, satin stitch (or what ever stitch you prefer) though on the front and batting. Then I placed it face down on the backing, turned, and outline quilted around the applique and finished the quilting.

What you will need

  • cotton quilting fabrics and basic supplies and equipment

Q&A with Karen Louise

Skitch33159 asked:
I love this quilt. This moose looks so friendly and inviting. I have not ever seen a moose pattern appropriate for a nursery. So cute!
Karen Louise answered:
Thanks. Pattern was designed by an Alaskan, naturally.
