Lynette Anderson Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The whole thing, there is nothing that I am not proud of, right from cutting out the fabric, hand stitching, machine stitching, planning the size, getting it together, FMQ it and then binding it. I smile everytime I walk into our bedroom and I think of how much joy this quilt has given me. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's a big one, there is a lot of hand sewing of the blocks, although I did two by hand and two by machine. The finished size of my quilt is massive, the quilt pattern finishes at the 2nd border. I learnt so much during this project, it took months but it was so worth it.

This is lovely! What a pretty pattern. Love your fabric choices, too.
saxostamper answered:
Hello there, thank you very much for your lovely comment. It was lots of hours and a lot of stitching in the ditch and then the FMQ as well but it's worth it, it still makes me smile everytime I go into our room K x

This is absolutely stunning, Karen! You should be very proud of all that applique and the way it has all gone together. The colours are lovely and the tree and dogs make it just so interesting. Well done! Patricia
saxostamper answered:
Hi Patricia, thank you very much. It was a massive project and I was a real wimp about starting the FMQ but in the end once I got going it was ok, although it took forever. It is permanently on our bed and every time I fold it back at night I feel a little bit proud. k x
