Lone starburst quilt

What are you most proud of? I'm going to finally give free motion quilting a try to finish this project. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try to use a jelly roll with as many duplicate strips as possible or maybe think about using some yardage if you are very concerned about being matchy matchy.

Q&A with clotheshorse

Tenar asked:
I don't think I've seen this variation, it's a nice one. Lovely use of shading to different values.
clotheshorse answered:
Thanks!
NanaJeanFL asked:
Very beautiful! I'm still struggling with the pattern for ONE Lone Star. How did you do this?
clotheshorse answered:
Thank you! The pattern is from Kimberly's book Magical Jellyroll Quilts. It's done basically the same way as her Craftsy pattern
Tanya W. asked:
This is very eye-catching, great job!
clotheshorse answered:
Thank you!
Pamillia asked:
This is beautiful. Very well done. Look forward to seeing what you do on your free motion quilting. Thank you for sharing.
clotheshorse answered:

clotheshorse answered:
