Lone Star Baby Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I was able to make one and to see the joy that was in my grand daughter's eyes when she saw it, she loved it! and that is what makes me proud, to be able to give to my children and grandchildren and to be able to share our stories and talents that God gave to each of us :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? To not be afraid to try a new pattern you think you will not be able to do, I thought I wasn't able to achieve this quilt, but I did! with the help of Craftsy of course! and Kimberly Einmo :)

What you will need

  • 100% cotton
  • blue baby fabric and appliqued feathers and all the necessary items you need to quilt!

PennyHill asked:
Oh my, that is the most beautiful picture I've ever seen with that baby in the middle of the quilt! What a wonderful idea. It actually brought tears to my eyes when I saw it. What a lucky baby to be loved that much! I'm wanting to make a large lone star quilt and would like to know if this class will give me what I need to be able to do this. Isn't it wonderful to have grandchildren to enjoy these beautiful quilts? It's so much fun to wrap them up in so much love!
Caroline answered:
I have never tried a bigger lone star quilt, but will soon :) I have followed Eleanor Burns on Quilt in a Day on Vimeo for the radiant & blazing star tutorials, let me know and share your pic if you have made one already or plan to, I also followed Kimberly Einmo on her tutorials on Jelly Roll Quilts on Craftsy :)

Wow this is such a stunning quilt and I love your picture with your new little one on this quilt. The colours are blended so well and I like your use of applique in the corners. I totally agree with you about sharing the gifts God has given us with those we love. Congratulations on such a stunning quilt
