Let There Be Light

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The overall feel of the art quilt and that it holds a theme as well as being enjoyable just to look at. I'm also proud to have made the wooden frame from 1" x 2" pine, painted the mounting frame black, attached foam board and attached the quilt with velcro dots. It looks professional and really enhances the appearance of the quilt. Carol tells you how to do this ... but instead of permanently gluing the quilt to the backing, I have used velcro. It seems to be holding fine. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun with this class. There are LOTS of possibilities once you start playing with threads, cording, decorative yarns, etc. Just go for it!
