What are you most proud of? Finally finishing all 20 BOM blocks for my 2nd quilt! In the end the B,W&R one will have all the months. I made my own templates (backing paper from fat quarters) and hand cut each piece. I also took great pains to make sure everything was square as I went along. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Lay out all the pieces before you begin. Be careful as you assemble to maintain the design. Square up each segment before joining. I found it best to stack two segments matching the curved seams and squaring from the corner of the "L". Then I arranged 4 segments so the "L" is on the outside and the curves form a circle. The circle should be perfectly round. Nest seams carefully when joining. Press - don't iron. There is a lot of bias in this block.
