Project

Jacob's Ladder Criss Cross

What are you most proud of? How striking it looks, considering it was made out of scraps! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't over think the process. The whole point of a scrap quilt is to just run with it. My main criteria for this quilt was that all the blocks with a bird in them were situated upright! That created some arranging problems, but it all worked out.

You Can Make This

hobbyhorse made Jacob's Ladder Criss Cross with:

  • A local quilt shop's annual summer Tent Sale's scrap bin - fill a bag for $5. I picked as many oranges/yellows/rusts/ beiges as I could find. I think I filled 5 or 6 baggies
  • all cottons. The outside border is the only purchased yardage.
