Grandma's Victory Garden

I made this king size quilt for my daughter for Christmas. The pattern is a lap robe and I just increased it to fit a king. I wanted to quilt this in quarters but had a hard time figuring out just how big it needed to be. I ended up quilting the middle section then adding the borders. My backing fabric wasn't wide enough so cutting the backing fabric just for the borders allowed me to use the same color. The last border was done with a stitch and flip technique. I really want to try the batting in thirds but was too chicken this time. Next time though.
