Grandma's Flower Garden

What are you most proud of? That this was the first quilt that I made. All of it was done by hand, using the English piecing method. What advice would you give someone starting this project? takes some time but it was well worth it.

Q&A with TyBee

dottyeb asked:
Love it. I also have a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt started. To date I have 36 blocks done and they are all in shades of pinks and rose with yellow centers. I will also be working on this one in the winter. I love the English paper piecing. It is so calming for me. Yours is just wonderful. I too have one that my grandmother did when I was a little girl. When my mother passed on, I inherited it along with many other old and antique quilts. There is no better legacy.
TyBee answered:
Thanks, I would have to say that this is one of my favorites, I too did inherit Grandma's quilts, including the one that my great-uncle had made before he went to the gold rush in CA (so the story says)
