Grand Central Terminal Quilt

What are you most proud of? That everything came together in the end! I was developing the ideas as I went along so I made the process of construction much more difficult for myself than it needed to be. But it all worked out (somehow)! I feel that the quilt really addressed the ideas I hoped to convey about the train terminal and about changes in transportation through time. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's a good idea to design your pattern BEFORE your start constructing, if possible. :)

Without seeing any others, consider yourself a winnner! The quilting tells a story, the colors are very easy on my eye. Blue ribbon, a cash prize would be nice!
Emafish answered:
Thanks, 4Bird! Really, I'm just hoping to make it to the second round of judging, but getting the blue ribbon sure would be nice :) Those who are chosen for the second round of judging get to have their quilts hung in Grand Central - quite an honor, I think!
