For Anjella's Mom

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Planning the layout and design myself. I scanned the fabrics into the computer then using a photo program, made the blocks to scale and arranged them until they looked good. I actually hate this method of making a quilt. It's stiff when done and all the top-stitching is a pain.

What you will need

  • Batiks and an African print. Cotton batting. This used the Quilt As You Go concept. In other words
  • each block was cut out
  • sandwiched
  • and quilted leaving a 1" border all around. Then the borders were folded onto the top and top-stitched down. The only hard part was the top-stitching of the rows together.
