FMQ - 2012 Craftsy Block of the Month

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Though there are lots of wobbles, and imperfect stitches, you don't really notice them in the quilt when you look at it as a whole. I am proud that I stuck with it because I did a lot better than I thought I would (this was my first attempt at FMQ!), and all the little mistakes are not a big deal at all!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Stick with it. There will be some frustrating points, especially when you first get started. But just keep practicing, read the questions and answers posted on the Craftsy Forum, and you'll get the hang of it. One thing I learned for instance was that some of the early problems I experienced were not thread tension related, but rather it was about the speed (foot pedal) and movement of my hands not being in sync that were causing loops and skipped stitches and so forth. So watch the videos closely, and practice, practice, practice. You can do this!!
