Finished Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Glad to be finished--there are 45 blocks to quilt and I wanted to experience with each block to try something different--quirky designs made up on the fly. I'm not going to concern myself with the frightened job I did on feathers. My husband said they looked like golf clubs. I chuckled and said, "oh thanks a lot dear." What advice would you give someone starting this project? TIP: Especially with the plain blocks--draw diagonal lines from corner to corner to make a big X. I used a big plastic ruler and fine line Frixion pens. Sometimes I added more lines to make squares. The center mark, diagonal marks, and squares helped me to repeat key elements.

Q&A with Shoestring

Oma2EZE asked:
Love your colors and quilting! So bright and happy!
Shoestring answered:
Hi Oma2EZE. Thanks for your kind words. This is one of those "try every design you can think of" long arm quilt stitching sampler. It was fun, but lots of quilt work.
