Finishe Quilt Top_BOM 2012

What are you most proud of? That I finished the blocks and got it put together, as there were many techniques new to me. Some blocks I liked more than others, but I valued every lesson that came with every block. I feel like I really progressed....now let's see how I do with the quilting. Yikes. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would advise to take your time and to re-read (re-watch) the instructions as many times as you need to prior to starting. I hate the seam ripper!!

Q&A with Eastern Quilter

So Creative asked:
Looks great welcome to quilting soon you'll be ready for Free Motion Quilting with Leah Day! Keep up the good work!
Eastern Quilter answered:
Thanks! Yes, Leah is a great teacher (and I like Ann Peterson's course, also). The best part about finishing a quilt is staring another one. It sounds like you have an awesome sewing environment. Mine is the dining room table which my husband thinks he will never see the top for dinner again.
KathiC asked:
NICE! I really like the colors!
Eastern Quilter answered:
Thanks so much, Kathi. I love your colors in your blocks, also! It feels so good to finally get back into quilting!
KB17 asked:
Very Pretty & love the bright colors. Great idea for the back too!
Eastern Quilter answered:
Thanks! I am glad I made the back like the jan block, but it was scary jutting that big piece of fabric from end to end. Your blocks are lovely (I checked out your projects). I LOVE the colors.
Scheri Manson asked:
Cindy this quilt is so pretty. Love all your blocks. I be back to see more. :-)
Eastern Quilter answered:
Thanks, Scheri. My favorite part of quilting is actually picking out the colors/fabrics to use. I also love the end stage as it comes together.
katiemzm asked:
pretty fabric choices!
Eastern Quilter answered:
Thank you...I love the fabric selection stage, but you never know how it is going to come together until the end ;)
