Dandelion Art Quilt

What are you most proud of? The feeling I get just looking at it. What advice would you give someone starting this project? So easy! I used the freezer paper turn method to create the circles and hand appliqued the "seeds" and the stem, but decided to leave the flower seed stems loose for a 3D effect. Not easy to see in photo, but came out awesome in real life as they lift off the quilt.

Q&A with Cilenia Curtis

Cathy Geier asked:
I pinned this last night on pinterest - I love the concept of those 'petals' or whatever the fluff of dandelions is called, blowing away in a breeze. I've though of doing something like this with regular flower petals. I like it!
Cilenia Curtis answered:
ESP Cathy! We had high winds here yesterday and as I looked at my poor roses with half the petals gone, I seriously am thinking of making another one showing the rose petals blowing off into in the wind! Now where's that sketch pad? lol Need to get them sketched for my inspiration. My poor babies darn winds!
