Creative Quilt Back

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I really wanted to try a pieced back and although I chose the simplest way to do it, I'm glad I didn't take the easy way out and just use a 'regular' backing. This was my first pantograph quilting quilt which I quilted on my home frame. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Even though it may seem easier to 'wing it' with the backing, I found it beneficial to follow Elizabeth's instructions, make a plan using graph paper and work out the actual dimensions of the back & piecing needed.

What you will need

  • Canning Day cotton fabric & white background

QuiltDude asked:
Your back looks great, Angie! It really looks like it's an extension of the front and not just the "quilt back". BTW... I am really enjoying your blog. I am actually going to try the cheese scone recipe to go with my broiled salmon, but I digress. Again, great looking pieced back. Happy New Year!
a1angiem answered:
Aww, thanks Dude! What is your next quilt project going to be? (And you cook too! - wow!) Happy New Year to you too!
