I made the back like I did because of Elizabeth Hartman's FREE Craftsy class Creative Quilt Backs. If you haven't taken it yet, it's an awesome class. Besides, I find it easier to piece my backs. I tried the 108in. wide backing fabric once and found it very cumbersome to try to iron and starch such a wide piece of fabric. If I piece my backs(even in large pieces, at least I can get them good and ironed and starched before I sew my pieces together. Once it's together, just a light iron will take out the wrinkles from handling it:) At least that is my opinion:).
