Circle of Geese Quilt

What are you most proud of? I was not confident enough to even try foundation paper piecing. Amy made it look easy- and it was. I am now a convert and have another project underway. I am also planning to use this block again with a black background and the colours of the rainbow for the geese. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Watch the lesson, and just try it. I am planning to use this block again with a black background and the colours of the rainbow for the geese

Q&A with beausun

ChristmasEv asked:
lovely quilt...I would suggest that you pre-sew your block as Amy suggested and as you probably did...and then turn the block over...do this for the four blocks and then lay your rainbow pieces over the quilt as it lays. Then your fabrics will be in the right order. I tried to make my flying geese in a rainbow color way, and ran into problems because I put the fabrics over the printed side of the pattern and so they came out in a reverse order around the rainbow. Love you quilt and look forward to seeing your rainbow quilt. (And if you are using just rainbow in any order, I'm sure it will be lovely too.
beausun answered:
Thanks for your advice. I will keep it in mind.
