Q&A with Beardie Lover

dtang asked:
This is so cute!! I think I see little teddies along the bottom! Love the the words...what a nice job!
Beardie Lover answered:
They are little elephants regardless -- thank you for your compliment!
mcthekat asked:
I just completed a similar chevron quilt and was wondering how I would quilt it. Love yours! Thanks for the idea :-)
Beardie Lover answered:
It got boring all that straight line quilting -- but I also love how it turned out! Thanks for your compliment!!
desna asked:
This is adorable and I love the little elephants so so cute. Your quilting is superb especially the writing!
Beardie Lover answered:
I liked this so much as I started putting it together I almost decided to keep it for myself! Wasn't sure how to place the colors but decided on light to dark . . . I LOVE LOVE to free motion quilt so doing the straight across lines got quite boring but I also like how it turned out. Thank you for your compliments!
doug_forr3940012 asked:
Could you share your pattern? It's difficult to figure out sizing for chevrons on the computer screen. My daughter-in-law really wants me to make the new baby a chevron quilt. :) Thanks
Beardie Lover answered:
I just now saw your post and after some digging (I'm one of "those" quilters) I found the info for you. The pattern for the words and a plain quilt is from Moda Bake Shop called "Baby Life Quilt" by Vanessa Christenson. The "chevron" quilt I used is from the Jan/Feb 2013 Issue 3 of "Quilty" by Fons & Porter on Pages 50 thru 53 called "Daddy's Ties" I'm sure you can get a back copy or just use any chevron pattern. This one is done with the half square triangle method. Thanks so very much for your compliments.
