Project

Buggy cover

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am very pleased with my quilting using my new walking foot. I did the echoing, grid, curved, sun-rays and of course stitch in the ditch. This little quilt has many uses, as well as being used for the car-seat it is also great for a buggy/stroller and with the ties it cannot be kicked off! You could even use it as a little play mat too! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This was a lot of fun to do and the quilting class by Wendy is brilliant!

What you will need

  • Cotton Fabric for sashing and border
  • Sophie Charm Squares
  • batting and Flannel fabric for back.

NanaJeanFL asked:
What a precious quilt Desna! I love everything about it! The fabric, the size, the design, the sewing - its perfect. Great job on the quilting. Can you provide a link to the Moda Bake Shop pattern? I've saved several of their projects but don't recall seeing this one. Thx! Jean
desna answered:
Hey Jean, thanks for the lovely comment :) If you go to http://www.cloverandviolet.com/ then go to 'Featured' then go to the Moda Bakershop box... you will then get Jennie's 3 tutorials that are featured... it is the 3rd one down. Hope that is of help to you:) It is a fun pattern to do, totally reccommend it.
Surfside6 asked:
This is a great item and you did a great job. Love the colors. As grandma to three grandSONS, these are not part of my stash. I have to use friends' kids to address my love of pink, turquoise, etc. I hope Lily-Kate lives close enough to visit often. Hugs
desna answered:
Thanks Surfside6 I love the colours too:) Lily-Kate lives about just over an hour away and I look after her one day a week while her mum works so I am getting plenty of hugs. Grandchildren are so special:)
