What are you most proud of? I am proud of just getting through it - it's a bit of a change from traditional quilting and I loved making it! I now have something different to hang in the corner of our bedroom overlooking our garden that is not traditional. I also am happy that I didn't bind it - I wanted it to have a bit of a rough edge look so I just zig zagged around the curved border. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I loved Lola's teaching style - nothing is a mistake - get into the groove and try not to get distracted when doing the hatching. Experiment with your style - I found I got best result with the Tsukineko Fantastix pointed and round blenders. I also used very little Setacolor paint on a few areas. Finally, I also just recently discovered the Supreme Glider for free motion quilting and I can't free motion quilt without it now. WHAT a difference it makes - the material just glides and the threads in the back are perfect.
