Bear Necessity - Canasta Quilt

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Canasta Quilts Link to website or photo www.ohfransson.bigcartel.com/product/canasta-quilts-modern-patchwork-pdf-pattern What are you most proud of? My challenge is often that I don't have enough yardage for a big project. I was lucky to find the last and only (cotton) Fat Quarters available in the entire country (you are more likely to find diamonds in Bots). I bought the entire stock of 11 Fat Quarters. My aim was to create a lap size quilt and cutting each FQ turned out to be a mathematical challenge. 20 blocks but only 11 FQ - every cut needed to be exact and precise. I guess I am proud that I managed to make the quilt work into lap size (less wonky then I hoped). I am also thrilled that Richard loves the back signature: Papa. And such a wonderful dad he is! What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is a great project but it will leave you with many off cuts. Keep them all for your next (smaller) project.

You Can Make This
