Baby blanket for my niece.

My sister wanted a baby blanket that had a starry night theme with woodland animals. I came across this fabric and thought it was perfect to use with glow in the dark thread! I cut out a large section on the top of the sky and then just created a pattern with half square triangles. I free motion quilted the night sky with loose blue thread first. I then drew out the baby's constellation in the center (well twice since the baby arrived ten days early and was no longer a scorpio) and then each of the parents on the side. I free motion quilted these with glow in the dark thread. I did this around the silk moon applique as well. I then used the rulers to quilt around my blocks. I also free motioned in the green land section "Explore life's mysteries" in glow in the dark thread.
