Aunty Jean's Quilt - hand appliqued

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Miss Kyra Link to website or photo www.mccallsquilting.com/mccallsquilting/issues/July_August_2013 What are you most proud of? That I can hand applique! It was scary to start with, but I followed Sarah's advice on how to do the circles, then put the same advice in to practise with the leaves. Oh boy what a lot of leaves!!! A ton of prep work involved but it was lovely to be able to sit in front of the TV with my feet up and hand stitch for a change of pace. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Save the hand applique for a wall hanging... in hindsight not the wisest choice for a lap quilt but hey, it was an experience!
