And the greatest of these is LOVE

Project Description

What are you most proud of? My ability to relax and enjoy this project :) Perfectionism is a joy-stealer! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't skip blocks because you don't think you'll enjoy the technique, or be able to do it successfully! I came really, really close to skipping the English paper-piecing blocks and just inserting variations of my favorite blocks in thier places. I was convinced that EPP would be tedious and that I'd hate it...wrapping fabric around paper...why would I want to do that? But I decided to just try it, because it was only two blocks, and they weren't covered in paper piecework, at least. Now, I am in LOVE with EPP. I have an ongoing stack of cute little hexagons that I'm making out of scraps - it is so addicting! I love that I can do it anywhere...just like reading :)

What you will need

Q&A with KYTracey

ukiewife asked:
I love that fabric (Faith, Hope, Love)! Are you going to do all the blocks with some of it?
KYTracey answered:
Yes. It's the focus fabric. I'm doing this project in the Block-of-the-Month class on here. The class is free - and so far it has been great. You should join us!
ukiewife asked:
I'm enrolled in it, too, but haven't had time to start my blocks yet.
KYTracey answered:
I started late, too. I didn't discover it till this month, and I had two small quilts to finish up first. Since those are done, I'll be able to catch up - after I get back from vacation, that is ;) I have the fabric cut for the February blocks, but won't get to stitch them for a while.
