All my BOM blocks together

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Actually getting all the twenty blocks started and finished between 4th October and 25th October and catching up with the class. This is my probable layout. I'm quilting all the blocks separately with instructions from Leah Day's tutorial "Free Motion Quilting a Sampler" by the "quilt as you go" method as I think it will be easier for me to wrestle with small pieces rather than a large quilt as I've done before. Although I've sewn a border round most of the blocks, the last few have only two sides done as I ran out of the purple sashing fabric and have had to send away for some more. Never mind - I've plenty to get on with while I wait for the postman! What advice would you give someone starting this project? You'll learn an enormous amount from Amy's course if you're a beginner, or even if you're not., The videod instructions are so clear - she makes everything look so easy and her charming personality comes over so well. Don't worry if you've only just downloaded the course - it's yours for ever and it really doesn't matter when you start or finish as you can access it at any time and as many times as you want - and it's FREE!

What you will need

  • Mainly leftover pure cotton fabric from previous projects - Fabric Freedom's "Pure Velvet" and "Perfect Palette" plus cotton thread
