2012 Craftsy BOM Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I'm happy with my piecing and choice designs for negative space quilting. It was the hardest part trying to come up with new fmq pattern for each nook and cranny on each block and border. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time!

thats very nice. i've been trying to find the time to start my bom, hopefully this weekend. you did a great job.
Cherine Fleyfel answered:
Thank you. It took me a long time to finish it. My husband does not want to use it knowing how many hours went into it, lol.
Foxylady4748 asked:
Very beautiful. I've got two more blocks to finish mine. I hope it turns as well as yours.
Cherine Fleyfel answered:
Thank you, can't wait to see yours!
MamaPris asked:
Beautiful!! I love how the colors "pop" against the white! And all that lovely quilting! Wow! :)
Cherine Fleyfel answered:
Thank you, The fmq took longer than the piecing mainly due to all the research into patterns that fit.
Sew Loquacious asked:

Thank you so much.
NanaJeanFL asked:
Oh Cherine! What a fabulous quilt! I love everything about it - especially the back! How creative - I may borrow that once I get to finishing mine! I presume you quilted it one block at a time? Regardless - it's gorgeous!! Well done!
Cherine Fleyfel answered:
Thank you Jean. I had a look at yours and it is really special with the 3D effect.
