PATTERN DETAILS

For Christmas last year, I made this Western Paper Doll Play Quilt for my grandaughter. It quickly became her favorite toy to play with. So now it's time to saddle up and make your own Paper Doll Cowboy and Cowgirl quilt! See details on my blog entry for a kit that is available for you to order that includes all the fabric you need to make this fun play quilt. These adorable characters come complete with all the gear they need for the next big round up. Their horses have saddles that really fit, lassos, fences and big brim hats that complete the scene. This is such a fun project to make for your little Cow Boy or Cow Girl. It goes together quickly and you'll be amazed how well it will entertain your little buckaroo. The outfits and gear (hats, boots, etc.). The cost for the kit is $51.00 for my Craftsy customers, as you will already have the pattern and includes everything you will need to make the quilt top. All you need to purchase is fabric for your quilt back and binding. (Note: I used used a 60" minkee cowhide print for my play quilt and folded it over to the front of the quilt, mitered the corner and then sewed down the edge, instead of using binding, which was fast and easy.) This pattern can be used to make a paper doll play quilt with other paper doll fabrics as well. It provides simple-to-follow instructions on how to assemble your own paper doll quilt (using the western fabric as an example). You'll learn the secret to getting the costumes to adhere to the quilt as well as suggested quilting ideas, etc. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Sew 1/4 seam on sewing machine Measure and cut fabric per instructions Pin baste quilt with safety pins Hand or machine quilt (recommendations for designs in pattern) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 50" Wide x 44" Long
